HOTBLACK ROAD PLAY STREET - Sunday 20th Sept from 11am
The road is closed but the invitation is open. Come reclaim the street for playing games, making music, creating art and so much more. There will be cake.
WORLD BOOK CLUB - Friday 25th September 7pm
Kick off our monthly book club with a discussion of "Before The Coffee Gets Cold" by Toshikazu Kawaguchi in an informal community bar setting.
QUIZ IN THE BAR - Friday 16th October 7-30pm
Nothing could be finer than a good old school pub quiz. No entry fee. Teams of five people (ish) and there will be a surprise prize.
IAN SAINSBURY - Friday 23rd October 7-30pm
As a singing piano player, Ian has performed globally, played for Paul McCartney, and written songs for AGT winner Paul Zerdin's Las Vegas show. There will be songs from the Beatles, Dire Straits, Billy Joel, and more. There will be banter. This is a ticketed event in the main auditorium but the lounge bar will still be open to everyone. WENSUM RESIDENTS' ASSOCIATION
The Wensum Residents' Association manages the Wensum Community Centre for the benefit of the people of the Wensum area and beyond. There are many fabulous activities down here if you want to get fit, be creative or just meet other people and have fun.
The WRA volunteers regularly litter pick the five parks in the area and maintain the Nelson Street Community Garden and the Food Hub Growing Boxes.
We support the annual street events in Hotblack Road and West End Street.
OPEN FRIDAYS
Every Friday we throw open the doors of the Community Centre to residents and their friends. Everyone is welcome to meet, socialise and plan to take over the world. We have Pool, Ping Pong, Darts and Table Football. Or you can bring your own games.
We have a great selection of drink including lo/no alcohol and free squash.
Accompanied children are welcome.
The bar will be open every 6pm to 10pm every Friday from 18th September until Christmas (except for Friday 30th October).
